筒仔米糕 Tube Sticky Rice Pudding. Originally steamed in bamboo tubes that gives its shape, the sticky rice pudding is very popular Taiwanese street food. Sticky rice stir fry with Chinese shallots, drizzle of soy sauce, mushrooms, dried baby shrimps, pork belly slices to develop rich textures. Add in pork broth to simmer until thickened and each grain is fully absorbed with the essence. By now the smell in the kitchen totally ignites your appetite! Scoop the rice into a cup, steam for 15 minuets, invert the pudding on a plate. Eh voilà, enjoy a rice pudding that is al dente and exquisitely tasty!
A Dragon Chef
Traveling around the world, I’ve seen how those Chinese take out mislead people’s perception about Chinese food. Wok fried, heavy seasoned with soy sauce and MSG, cornstarch thickened at all time is not authentic Chinese cooking. Real Chinese cuisine is mastering selections of fresh ingredients, seasonings, various cooking methods to deliver genuine taste of food that wow your taste buds. I’m no Michelin chef but someone who knows how authentic Chinese cuisine should taste like. Welcome to my dinning table and enjoy the real Chinese food. Bon appétit!
